Lleiroso · DO Ribera del Duero

Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) from the Ribera del Duero DO, grown in vineyards in Valbuena de Duero, on the Golden Mile. The winery farms about 30 hectares with vines of up to 80 years. Ageing is twelve months in French oak barrels, followed by another twelve months of bottle rest before release.

The winery

Lleiroso

Winery in Valbuena de Duero, on the Ribera del Duero’s Golden Mile, right beside the river and the monastery of Santa María de Valbuena (12th century). It started up in 2001 in a building of contemporary design. It farms some 30 hectares of Tinto Fino, with vines up to 80 years old, and has a modern barrel hall.
