Description

Laus · DO Somontano

A DO Somontano rosé made with syrah and black grenache from selected Barbastro vineyards. Each variety macerates separately for a few hours to extract fruity aromas and colour, then ferments at a controlled temperature to keep the fruit intact. 13% ABV.

The winery

Laus

Winery founded in 2002 in Barbastro, within the DO Somontano. The modern, minimalist building stands on the highest point of the estate, surrounded by vines and water features, with views of the Pyrenees. They farm around 100 hectares spread across several areas of Somontano, at 350 to 400 metres above sea level. The main vineyard, Las Almunietas, has limestone, stony soils of low fertility. Five varieties: syrah, black grenache, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay.
