Description

Bodegas Aragonesas · DO Campo de Borja

A Grenache rosé from vines over 30 years old. The grapes undergo six hours of pre-fermentation maceration at 8 to 10 °C; the must is then run off and ferments at 16 °C under temperature control. No oak. 13.5% vol.

The winery

Bodegas Aragonesas

Bodegas Aragonesas was founded in 1984 in Fuendejalón, in Campo de Borja, from the union of the Fuendejalón and Magallón cooperatives. It farms around 3,700 hectares of vineyard on stony, reddish soils at the foot of the Moncayo, with plots more than a hundred years old. Grenache is the main variety, alongside Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Mazuela, Chardonnay, Macabeo and Muscat. Production runs to around seven million bottles a year.
