Description

Albet i Noya · DO Penedès

A rosé from syrah and merlot from the winery’s youngest vines. After a brief maceration, it ferments for twenty-five days at 16 °C and is cold-stabilised and filtered before bottling. It sees no oak. It comes in at 12.5% vol., with total acidity of 3.99 g/l and low volatile acidity of 0.19 g/l.

The winery

Albet i Noya

A family winery in Sant Pau d’Ordal, in Subirats, based at the Can Vendrell de la Codina estate. The family has been here since 1903, and in 1978 gave up chemical treatments for organic farming, the first winery in Spain to do so. They work about 80 hectares in the Ordal Mountains, on clay-limestone plots reaching 400 metres of altitude. Since 2013 they have been researching resistant varieties suited to climate change, and in 2025 they earned B Corp certification.
