The winery

Bodegas Viña Buena

Winery in Aranda de Duero (Burgos), founded in 1987 by a group of local growers. It farms more than 100 hectares of its own vineyards, with vines over 50 years old, and buys grapes from growers in the surrounding area. Its ageing cellars are spread across Aranda de Duero, Hontoria de Valdearados, Baños de Valdearados and Santa Cruz de la Salceda, with more than 1,200 225-litre barrels of American and French oak. It makes the whole Ribera del Duero DO range and also Verdejo in the Rueda DO.

Appearance

Intense violet colour with bluish glints.

Nose

Very ripe black fruit and red fruit at full maturity.

Palate

Fresh, smooth and round, with the fruit enveloping the palate and a long finish.

Between 16 and 18 °C. Best drunk within three years of the harvest.
