Description

Bodegas Viña Buena · DO Rueda

Verdejo from the Rueda DO, made by the Viña Buena winery. It ferments with native yeasts isolated from its own vineyards and selected in an in-house research project, so the fermentation comes not from a commercial yeast but from the plot itself. A white for drinking young, with no time in oak.

The winery

Bodegas Viña Buena

Winery in Aranda de Duero (Burgos), founded in 1987 by a group of local growers. It farms more than 100 hectares of its own vineyards, with vines over 50 years old, and buys grapes from growers in the surrounding area. Its ageing cellars are spread across Aranda de Duero, Hontoria de Valdearados, Baños de Valdearados and Santa Cruz de la Salceda, with more than 1,200 225-litre barrels of American and French oak. It makes the whole Ribera del Duero DO range and also Verdejo in the Rueda DO.
