Description

Albet i Noya · DO Penedès

A single-variety ull de llebre (tempranillo) from organic vineyards in the Penedès. It belongs to the Curiós range, the youngest and most direct part of the winery, where the aim is above all to preserve the fruit and freshness of each variety. The result is a red with pronounced red fruit, fine acidity and soft tannins, at 13% vol.

The winery

Albet i Noya

A family winery in Sant Pau d’Ordal, in Subirats, based at the Can Vendrell de la Codina estate. The family has been here since 1903, and in 1978 gave up chemical treatments for organic farming, the first winery in Spain to do so. They work about 80 hectares in the Ordal Mountains, on clay-limestone plots reaching 400 metres of altitude. Since 2013 they have been researching resistant varieties suited to climate change, and in 2025 they earned B Corp certification.
