Cellers Unió · DO Montsant

Young red from the Montsant DO made with Carignan, Grenache and Merlot, with a share of Tempranillo (ull de llebre). The whole winemaking process takes place in stainless steel tanks, with no oak, to preserve freshness and fruitiness. 13.5% vol.

The winery

Cellers Unió

Second-tier cooperative based in Reus, founded in 1942. It brings together agricultural cooperatives from across Catalonia, with more than 20,000 farming families and some 4,400 hectares of vineyards behind it. It makes its wines in its own cellars spread across Montsant, Priorat, Terra Alta, Tarragonès and the DO Catalunya. The wines of the Perlat range are made at the Els Guiamets winery, in southern Montsant, and are one of the appellation’s pioneering brands.
